For seriously implementing CPC Central Committee’s requirement on fully use of GI and agricultural products trademarks to promote the development of characteristic agriculture, well accomplishing GI registrations and protections, promoting the regular use of special sign of China GI products, Trademark Office under SAIC, from June 14 to 15, held a meeting exchanging experiences among users on special sign of China Geographical Indication products in Tengchong of Yunan province. Ms. LV Zhihua, Deputy Director General of Trademark Office hosted the meeting. Ms. XIE Liping, Vice Mayor of Baoshan City of Yunan Province, and Mr. LI Han, Deputy Director General of Yunnan AIC were present and spoke there. Personnels in charge of trademark managements from 10 provinces including Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan, Hunan, Guangdong, Chongqing, Yunnan, Shaanxi and Gansu, and about 40 GI registrants joined the meeting.

    Delegates talked about enlarging the function of GI marks to serve rural economic developments at the meeting, and exchanged experiences, achievements and difficulties on use of special sign of Geographical Indication Products. Ms. LV Zhihua, Deputy Director General of Trademark Office summarized the meeting. 

    Delegates have also visited the planting base of Tengchong Camellia chekiangoleosa Hu and its camellia oil manufacture enterprises, and the processing art of GI Products “Tengchong Er Si” during the meeting.
